SALON DADA

It’s not just a salon, it’s a movement. How many times have you crossed paths with people and felt that connection? The feeling that there is something big here? We all have, here and there; sometimes we just ignore it, sometimes we go with it and big things happen! Steven and Benjamin have been in the hair industry for decades, and after crossing paths they’ve had that great connection and mutual respect for one another ever since. Now, they’re putting their passion for hair and beauty to create a completely new and artistic movement in the hair industry. We are so excited for all of you to see and feel what is being created at SALON dada.

I was drawn to the name and dada’s anti-Violence, anti-racist idelogy.” – Benjamin

Our name SALON dada stems from the 20th century European art movement, which flourished in response to World War I during its time. The artists of the Dada era rejected hate, violence, and radical political views, which they reflected through unique works of art previously unseen before this time. Benjamin has always been fascinated with the Dadaism movement, purchasing the domain name salondada.com over 20 years ago and saving it for just the right moment. Today, we’re bringing Dadaism back, combining its values and avant-garde art style to make our clients look and feel spectacular.

“When you see how people are brought up, you realize they had no choice in being who they are.” – Steve

Because of our roots in the Dadaism movement, SALON dada has a strict zero tolerance policy for criticism, gossip, and derision. After years in the beauty industry, Steve and Benjamin have seen how the recklessness of judgement can create a toxic salon environment. We understand that everyone comes from different backgrounds with different life experiences, and we strive to foster a community of acceptance where everyone that walks through our doors feels valued for who they are.
